So we (Son and I) decided to give his Fiesta ST-2 a little service over the weekend after we noticed on the ODB11 scanner showing errors for O2 Sensors and HRT.

So purchased the replacement Upstream and Downstream O2 Sensors for around £80 each from Euro Car Parts

Upstream O2 Sensor – FAE Lambda Sensor (Product Code: 710591211)

Downstream O2 Sensor – Bosch Lambda Sensor (Product Code: 710660925)

So to cut a long story short, After disconnecting the battery terminals, we removed the entire Air Intake assemble starting from the Air filter box and unplugged the various Vacuum lines (Brake Booster Vacuum – Air Intake- PCV  etc.)

The Downstream (Left – Blue) and Upstream (Right – Black) o2 Sensors connectors where then unplugged (disconnected)

    Cont.d

To remove the downstream o2 Sensor was a real problem due to the heat shield getting in the way , only way to gain access was under the fiesta using a 22mm open ended spanner.

Access to the Upstream O2 sensor was much easier from the top and we used a 22mm O2 Sensor removal socket on a 500mm socket extension bar

Whole job took around 4 hours (in between the rain showers) and the ODB-11 scanner is showing no errors for o2 Sensor and related HRT fault

Ref: O2 Sensor torque settings we used 35-45Nm (25-33 ft lb) taken from FAE leaflet inside box
