    Hi all,

Any one know how much as Freesat installation costs? I would need the dish and cable run into loft and down the wall into the room (only single storey).

I’m not sure if I have enough room to get another cable down the trunking in the wall, would I need to sort out getting trunking put in the wall and then re-plaster etc prior to the person visiting or will they do that too?

    Thanks

TV at my property had weak signal for part of xmas so meant on 1 particular day, i couldn’t watch tv as the picture would only come on for a minute or 2, then just go off….

Its happened before but only been when its excessively hot but this time not hot so I’m considering getting Freesat installed so if the normal aerial is no god, I can switch to freesat as my TV has inbuilt freesat tuner so that’s all ok, just need the actual disk and cable and whatever else installed :)

A sky dish would work as well, have you ever had Sky or the Sky dish ?

A standard satellite dish with quad LNB and cabling is estimated to cost £150 or so (but there will be a few variables that determine price, location, ease of instillation etc.)

Thanks, no never had sky dish or any kind of dish so will be complete install from scratch.

I have my TV aerial in the loft so noting outside at present but considering getting Freesat for hopefully a better signal.

At some point, check your neighbours walls to see if they have a SAT dish and which way it is pointing, as if you have a block of flats or hotel etc. blocking direct line of sight of Sat dish, then you will have issues with quality of signal
