Hi All
I am wanting to relive my youth by playing some older games on my PC running Windows 10, that I used to love playing on consoles, one such game being EA Sports Cricket 2004. I bought a copy and installed it and it runs perfectly. Unfortunately I cannot get the game to recognise any game controller that I connect to the PC. I’ve tried older controllers like the Sidewinder Game Pad and Game Pad Pro, Xbox 360 controller, Xbox One controller and DS3 and DS4 controllers and none will show up in the game. I’ve tried running compatibility troubleshooters, installing various drivers, changing USB ports and nothing seems to work. Funny thing is I have a mini PC with a standard install of Windows 7 on it that I haven’t updated, and the game will recognise controllers on that, however if I fully update Windows 7 the game won’t recognise the controllers again. I’m assuming there must be a Windows update that stops the game controllers from being recognised.
If anyone has any ideas on how I can get a game controller to work on this game, or recommend a game controller that is likely to work, then I would be very grateful to hear them.
Many thanks in advance.

In response to my own post, I think I’ve managed to get somewhere at last.
I used Driver Booster 5 software to update all my drivers, and now I can use my Xbox One controller with older games. It helped that when I updated the drivers that the controller was actually plugged in at the time as I had done this before without it connected and it didn’t work. I’m going to try the same with different controllers just to see if it works with them, but at least I’ve got one that seems to work ok.

I did have a quick look at this and one of the sites I visited, did say this game was suitable for windows 10, others did not mention Windows 10. so I emailed the site, (downloadgamesuk.blogspot.com) to see if they could advise, I will let you know if I get response, but seems you are getting there already ;)
I did wonder if it was a 32 vs 64 bit issue,?
