Europe’s budget‑friendly hosting giant Hetzner has just delivered a shockwave to its customers: prices are set to rise by as much as 50% starting April 1. And no, this isn’t an April Fools’ joke.

The company cites soaring hardware costs, especially for RAM and SSDs, along with rising datacenter operating expenses across its global locations. Earlier tweaks—like setup fees—weren’t enough to absorb the pressure, so now the full cost is landing on customers’ laps.
