If you are thinking that great iPhone bargain on Ebay you just brought is actually a Chinese made iPhone, then there is a couple of ways to check.

Note: Apple iPhones are made for the Chinese market and are genuine, but are slightly different from UK/EU iPhones variants.

    • Try to type the Taiwanese flag emoji, Chinese iPhones will not display the Taiwanese flag.

    • Chinese iPhones have No esim, the Chinese region model used dual physical sim
    • Wi-Fi is called WLAN

Even if iPhone is from China (not fake iPhones), the iPhone should still work with calls and useΒ  SMS etc.

I also read that on Chinese Apple iPhones, the Β swipe animation is different (not sure how) which is due to a Qualcomm lawsuit in china.
