Lenovo Yoga 520-141kb (uk) Replacement Screen
I have an Lenovo Yoga 520-141kb (uk) laptop and alas the screen has cracked, it is a touch screen so I have disabled the Touch Screen option under Device Manager > Human Interface Devices so it disabled the touch screen option.
This worked for a while but now screen flickers and distorts so I am looking to replace the screen.
Any body know of a good location to purchase replacement screens, preferable well priced as the laptop is one of my children’s.

Good idea, I plan to remove screen from Laptop, check connectors are in good working order, then shop around, if laptop survives my screen removal attemptΒ

November 5, 2019 at 1:52 pm #4966That’s good plan
Install portable version of HWiNFO64 and find part number of screen .. which would be more easy for you to find parts ..because sometimes same screen is used in different models of laptop
Just look youtube for screen disassembly video .. so you know do and dont’s for your laptop

November 6, 2019 at 7:14 pm #4993November 6, 2019 at 7:42 pm #4994December 1, 2019 at 9:27 pm #5163Finally got around to replacing the screen on the 14″ Lenovo laptop, after a lot of shopping around, I ended up purchasing a brand new screen from AliExpress.com as I have an account. IΒ paid Β£70 which included delivery forΒ an LENOVO YOGA 520-14 Full HD (1920×1080) touch screen digitizer assembly which arrived about 10 working days after order was placed and was well packed etc.
Took me about 3 hours to remove old panel and remove electrics, wires, circuit boards. magnets and web cam etc.Β then re-add (with glue) to new screen digitizer assembly.
Kid is happy again and a few pounds (Β£) saved
Thanks to all whom gave me good advice

April 7, 2020 at 11:05 am #6333Ok, so I replaced my daughters LCD Touch Screen on her Lenovo yoga 520 14ikb a while ago and for a while everything was working well, then all of a sudden and for no real consistant reason, the screen defaults to vertical white/grey lines image and a power reset is required.
After a lot of online investigations, seems to be a common problem with the LCD Screen cable especially around the hinges CAUSING WEAKNESS IN THE WIRING ETC.
So ordered a new LCD Screen cable from Ebay for Β£6 (good price) and removed the original LCD Screen cable but unfortunately during the process accidently broke one of the screen sensors (lenovo ls-e543P) connector that plugs into the LCD Screen cable (they are very delicate)
Anyway β any ideas of where to get a new / usedΒ (lenovo ls-e543P) can be purchased as only a single seller on Ebay in UK selling one for Β£25 βouchβΒ β I have looked on Alibaba etc. and no luck as yet
Pics below (from internet) of lenovo ls-e543P screen sensor part and screen when image gets distorted
Note: I have tried the laptop without the sensor but seems to effect Touchpad and keyboard input, so an USB external mouse only solves half the problem and I do not want to disable the Touch screen option unless I have no other choice ;-)
