Netduma – DumaOS 3.0 Application QoS – New Feature

Netduma again have released another sneak preview of the new stuff coming with dumaOS 3.0 – this time we get to look at there Application QoS offering

    Ref: hNetduma Application QoS

    ——

In 2014 we built QoS to reduce lag caused by devices around the home. Whether someone is watching Netflix while you’re gaming or a Skype call is raising your ping, we want to let your devices coexist without congestion to give you peace of mind.
With Application QoS you can bring balance to your network by telling DumaOS exactly what matters to you. Prefer gaming to social media? With Application QoS, just give anything the bandwidth it needs across all devices at the same time – from web browsing to livestreaming.

With the ability to switch back to Device Mode at any time, Application QoSΒ will give you a level of control never before seen on home routers.

DumaOS 3.0 is the biggest update we have ever built, effectively doubling the feature set.Β Application QoSΒ is just one of many features coming to your router with DumaOS 3.0, so stay tuned for our next feature announcement.

Yes, much like ASUS QoS, from video. you allocate Bandwidth (not priority) per Service like Gaming, Web Browsing so each Service is Guaranteed a certain percentage of total bandwidth, will be interesting to see if this scales up to Gb speeds etc,Β  regardless and as some of us realise, its the back-end that counts and unless NetDuma implement something like Cake for there que management discipline, it will be only half hearted efforts
