Ok, so I have my beautiful Xr500 and it appears IPV6 does not work correctly for this router.
Having issues with the DHCP for Clients and when gaming, LAN clients also very very laggy , running on an IPV4 address (LAN IPV^) does not seem to be an option to configure?
Looks like the GeoFilter (love the idea behind it) does not support IPV6 currently, such a shame
I am on V2.3.2.32 version, any body know when Netgear are looking to get IPV6 working ?

February 15, 2019 at 5:22 pm #2235Thanks for letting me know, since original post and from what I have since read online, DumaOS still does not support IPv6, so if you have the GeoFilter set-up or the QoS, then this will not help?
I am also running Version 2.3.2.40 and DumaOS v A7Legit and the Netgear XR500 changelog makes no mention of IPv6, so we are still waiting I believe.
But if/when they (Netgear/Netduma) get it all working via IPv6, this will be a great gaming router and no carrier grade Natting will slow gamers down ;-)

February 16, 2019 at 1:50 pm #2238i have not tested it with QOS disabled yet to see if it works , but with QOS enabled it lags ……… i suspect ….it’s more to do with netgear implementation of IPV6 ………
also i have noticed …
that during 6to4 mode … web browser is not using IPV6 to visit website …. but lags , ( few ipv6 test website even failed to detect there is ipv6 )
but during PPPoE mode (Native ipv6 address ) … web browser was using …IPV6 and it still lags

February 16, 2019 at 4:33 pm #2242So IPv6 generally for XR500 is broken ?
Unsure when next firmware release is for the XR500, but do hope they sort this out?

February 18, 2019 at 1:37 pm #2256yeah i think so it’s broken for now
.. not sure when new firmware going to release .. but i don’t think …..Netgear/Netduma will give any priority to fix ipv6 issue .. unless some ISP start giving out ipv6 only address …and many user start reaching out netgear about this issueYou need to login in order to vote
August 16, 2019 at 9:14 pm #3838Looks like Netgear have released their latest firmware for the XR500 (Firmware Version 2.3.2.56)
Download Link : http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/XR500/XR500-V2.3.2.56.zip
Alas this release seems to be a minor update to fix Netgear related bugs etc. but Alex from Netduma Forum has mentioned that Milestone 1.4 is coming soon for Netduma
Hopefully with an IPv6 update ;-)
