So had fun replacing a fiat 500 passenger side daytime running light and had watched a couple of video clips online explaining that the whole front bumber needs to be removed.

So I decided that given I was only replacing the passenger side daytime running light, I would see how far I would get by just moving or removing the passenger side front wheel arch liner.

Glad to say, partially removing the fiat 500 wheel arch liner gave me sufficient access to the daytime running lights for removal, quick guide below which will hopefully help others.

Fiat 500 Passenger Side Daytime Running Light

So after jacking up the Fiat 500 and securing with axle stand, below picture showing wheel removed and arrows pointing to wheel arch liner.

Then I managed to remove sufficient retaining screws and hex nut (M10) to enable the wheel arch liner to be folded back and allow access to daytime running light.

Green arrow indicates Fiat’s wheel arch daytime running light access door which I also removed.

Fiat 500 wheel arch liner folded back and secured with string

Picture below showing access to Fiat’s daytime running light and power connector which was needed to be unplugged.

Then using a Torx 30 (T30) bit socket, I unscrewed the 3x T30 bolts that secured the daytime running light to the bumper housing

Below a picture of Daytime running light removed from Fiat 500.

Putting back in the new Fiat’s 500 daytime running light is just a reversal of the above stages and just have to find a wall and wait for a dark dry night to ensure main high beam light is set to correct height.

Below is picture of new daytime running light working

Whole job took me around 3 hours and glad to say, a relatively easy job for a car diy enthusiast.
