    Hi all,

So I have the RT-AX86U setup or DDNS via Asus and tonight i logged in and I’m seeing (( bell icon )) in green.ย  When I click on the bell icon, it says No response from DDNS, try again.

Is this just me? first tie I’m seeing it. Is there anything I need to do or is the issue Asus end?

    Thanks

ok so I just went into WAN – DDNS, it said inactive and was “processing..”, I simply clicked Apply button at the end of the page and then it said successfully registered and the green (( bell icon )) has disappeared.

First time this has happened, has anything changed? Do we now need to effectively re-register every x period of time? Never had to do it at all after initial setup which must of been a year or more ago now? forgot when I actually bought it now..

Not sure how long its been like that as I don’t login to router every day and not received any notification etc, although maybe not setup to notify admittedly if there is a option.

Some ASUS router users have no issues with DDNS whilst others have lots of issues, I think also if your ISP IP address changes, this will cause the DDNS service to fail and manual reconnect required.

can also be ASUS DDNS service was down, but best to keep an eye on the DDNS service incase it happens again

Thanks, I’ll have to try to remember to check on it from time to time. Never happened before and I’m sure ISP has changed the IP etc in the past.
