Looking at Amazon for a new pressure washer, anybody used a Wilks-USA RX525i High Power Pressure Washer or similar as reviews via Amazon look great but no idea whom really makes (owns) these range of pressure washers and where ?

Did own a Karcher previously and served us well for many years but happy to consider other options for domestic use etc.

Does seem the material of the electric water pumps are important, and for domestic usage the cheaper models water pumps are made from Plastic, then better is Aluminum but these usually are more expensive units.

Tip: The flow rate is the most important technical data of a pressure washer, even more than pressure, as it indicates the real power of the machine.

NILFISK TITAN 120 range also looks good as a brand, has an aluminum pump and is a good price.

Kranzler are prob the best BUT very very expensive…

I keep looking at pressure washers but each time I end up saying I can’t really justify the cost.Β  I mean yes, be ideal to give patio, path a clean but once that’s done, it’s not something I’d do every year, maybe every few years.

Could use for the car but by the time i got it all setup, I’d probably be half way through if i was doing it with a bucket or water etc…

Thanks for input, so many options out there, I am a little spoiled for choiceΒ  but keen to ensure patio cleaner is as good as possibleΒ

Yes, I saw a video on utube a good few years back, was a guy who I believe was in some sort of Financial advisor type role and he had couple of decent cars and he did videos on how to clean them and what he used etc, he had I believe a Kranzler TST1152, it was fine but he had a few niggles with it for his particular setup but I recall him saying its fine for washing the car but you’d need more powerful option to clean the patio/drive.Β  However, I did keep in mind that as he was based in US, he had a much larger drive/patio etc that what we have in UK but always been dubious of getting one that powerful enough as you don’t want it too powerful for cars but you need it on patio/paths, especially if very dirty.Β  The one I believe is popular for car valeting/details, is the Kranzler 7/122.Β  Again very price and heavy but it is small to go in back of a van etc.

I had a look at the Kranzler TST1152 range, alas Β£1000 for a home Pressure washer is not for myself, to close to Christmas for that sort of luxury

So I have narrowed down my choice to the following two brands based on reputation, water pump material, (aluminum) online reviews, flow rate and replacement spares availability etc.

Alas the Nilfisk has only a two year guarantee compared to Karcher 3 years but the Nilfisk it is around Β£60 cheaper currently

Time to hunt for those Back Friday deals

    • Nilfisk Excellent E145 Power XTra Home Pressure Washer 2100W
      • Aluminum water pump
      • 2100 watt induction motor
      • Flow rate 500 litres/hour.
      • 9m hose.
      • 5m mains cable.
      • Manufacturer’s 2 year guarantee.

    • Karcher K5 Power Control Pressure Washer – 2100W
      • Aluminum water pump
      • 2100 watt water-cooled induction motor.
      • Flow rate 500 litres/hour.

What about the Karcher K7? bit more powerful I believe?Β  In terms of warranty, I guess that depends how often will it be used? if its every day then yes warranty be ideal but if you using it every couple of months and not for long periods, is it likely to go wrong?

What’s the difference between Karcher and the Karcher compact versions? any real advantage to the normal ones?

KARCHER K7 Smart control pressure washer looks a great washer, but price is around Β£450 and TBH, no point myself spending more than necessary, at least until the lottery pays off

Karcher K7 vs Karcher K7 compact – the KΓ€rcher K7 Premium Eco Home Water-Cooled Pressure Washer is discontinued.

Handy reference for the comparisons between K7 and K7 compact, in essence they offer the same specs, flow rates and cable lengths, just a different physical chassis and hose management as the K7 has a top hose reel.

For myself, I would prefer the K7 as slightly larger, and self contained.
