Hi @Bully, not sure what you mean, are you asking if you can access modem from behind the Netgear XR500, if that is what you mean, then NO ?
If not then WAN IP addresses are issued by ISP, and not advisable to change

no not bought one, just thought about it. If I could configure wan ip I thought they maybe a chance.

Thought so, alas the XR500 has fantastic QoS and great with the Geo Filter etc, but from a settings perspective, is the same as most other Netgear Routers, ;-(

Ok. Looks like I’ll have to get the AC-RT86u then. If I can find a bargain on fleabay.

If you do get one from fleabay, just be careful in that you purchase one with a UK plug (Not one that has a two pin plug that then plugs into a three pin UK Adaptor, there are a lot of Chinese RT-AC86u that have issues with English language options, especially when you factory reset router etc?
