Still waiting for that rainy day / night – trust us to be in the middle of a heatwave.
The Fiat 500’s Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) dashboard warning light came on today, but alas came on as my daughter arrived home,
So good news the DPF seems to indicate it needs a clean / regeneration (a proper good run) and hopefully this could be the main reason for white smoke appearing from time to time as a DPF as part of the cleaning process uses extra fuel to help burn of soot deposits (ash) in the DPF as part of the self clean process, I am slowly drawing to the conclusion that the regens are never allowed to finish.
