I just assumed it was normal and it probably is due to the power demand going from VDSL2 to G.Fast. If my values are that and I live right next to the cabinet, i wonder what values other users have who are on longer lines. Im sure i read somewhere that G.Fast is more limited in length than VDSL for customers. Especially if BT are promising a minimum guaranteed speed of 100Mbps for G.Fast and if they canβt deliver the speed promised customer gets reimbursed.
G.Fast uses a higher frequency than say VDSL etc, so much like 2.4Ghz vs 5GHZ wifi, range for 2.4Ghz is better, but throughput for 5Hz at close proximity is better.
