That is a tricky question, the old DSl-AC68U with its Mediatek CHipset was prone to creat very high CRS/FEC compared to say a Broadcom DSL Chipset and LAntic based DSL Modem routers are exact opposite (Fritz!Box, as my Fritz!Box 3490 prodiced only 1 or 2 every other day or so.

It is also dependant on you line length, DSL line condition, and whether the line, for example is mounted on a pole, and being bashed by tree branches etc. or underground like mine is.

If you start receiving a few hundred every few hours, where as previously, you received very few, then this is an indication, something is not well with your line
