Based on above quotes and allowing extra Β£100 for 2x fans, Windows 11 licence etc. it is looking like Β£2000 for a decent (Intel) gaming desktop without the extra cooling rads etc. is needed.
(will have to speak to my friend regarding budget,Β I think as Β£1500+ will be more realistic for a half decent system) compromise on Graphics Card and CPU maybe needed.
