Yes, fixed them separately due to cheaper separate than on duel, however now, I could fix my gas at 8.xx but that is more than the supposed cap at 7p but unsure… if another increase in Oct, then it might be better to fix now but again I’ve got potentially 6 months or so where it will be summer and low usage but will be a higher DD, albeit end up in credit etc.

I’m still waiting approx. £150 back from my SoLR and no news on that yet.  Current provider says if we stay with them, it will appear in the account as a credit, if we move away, they will send us a cheque.

If I fix, I’d fix for 2 years but that means currently elec runs out 23 and then gas would be 24 so every year I’d be having to sort one or other out, whereas under my previous setup, even though separate, they ran out similar time and I always fixed for 2 years so meant only need to look at it every couple of years which was ideal.

I’m tempted to stay as is on existing tariff, but if they prices go up near Oct, then I guess the Fixed prices would all of risen too which means I’d of missed out again but also if they come down in mid – late 2023, I’d be paying over the odds and face a high exit fee potentially..

I’m tempted to contact current elec provider and see if they will allow me to add my Gas to existing tariff I have with them, which I could of had on duel fuel but I’m not expecting i can do that tbh.
