As a sideline.
I have been speaking with ASUS and they are in the process of releasing an MoCA adaptor
- MoCA adapter is base on MOCA HOME 2.5 standard.
- Its main purpose is ethernet over coaxial.
- It’s similar to PLC and only replaces the intermediate medium with coaxial.
- So it can support the devices with RJ-45 ports.
- The user can directly connect it to a computer, NAS, switch, stream TV or mesh routers as wired backhaul.
The MoCA adaptor is due to be released in US and Asia Pacific in late September. no news for UK/EU etc.
ASUS also are working on an MoCA Router, but early days yet and I am still digging ![]()
