So after looking through the Citroen C3 service book, no indication of a radio code was evident so I decided this morning to unplug the car battery (disconnect the negative first, then the positive) and leave unplugged for an hour.

I then plugged back in the car battery, turned on the ignition and the Citroen C3 Flair car radio worked without any form of radio code being required.

The Citroen C3 Flair central locking worked as did the electric windows, but the Citroen C3 would not start, the starter motor turned the engine over but the engine would not start.

So assuming an immobilizer issue or an issue with the Citroen’s Engine Management System or BSI – Body Control unit (ECU) resetting, I know from past experience, Citroen’s seem to like being left alone for an hour or so.

So switched off the ignition, locked the car with the remote and left the Citroen C3 for an hour.

When I returned, I unlocked the car with the remote, I then put the key in the ignition, left ignition On for a couple of minutes and then attempted to start the Citroen which worked.

I then tested the Citroen C3 reversing camera image and alas the camera is still showing a large part of the number plate, almost like the camera focus has zoomed in a little.

Last test is to now purchase a new Citroen C3 Flair reversing camera (9809301180) and see if this corrects the view on the LCD screen.
