Two week update (final), my Samsung Heat Pump dryer, works very well, dries relatively quickly considering the technology and controls are most intuitive.
The only draw back from this appliance is that after the dryer has been running for 5 mins, when the compressor kicks in, it then sounds like an old fashion fridge (rattles) rather loudly, the noise dampens after a further 15 mins, but it is still there and in an open plan kitchen / dinner, is rather annoying (almost embarrassing).
Alas I have had AO.com and Samsung third party service engineer visit the machine and to them this is normal and expected, alas I have a new Samsung fridge freezer (American style) and this is very quite.
Seems Samsung has changed the compressor design on recent Pump dryers and lots of people are complaining, alas Ao.com, unless item is deemed faulty by manufacturer (Making Samsung Judge and Jury) then AO.com will not stand by there customers beyond any the legal obligations.
Even when I confronted AO.com with the Consumer Contract Regulation was (Distance Selling Act/Regulation), they said it was not applicable, (not true) and so Avoid AO.com at your peril.
I am currently addressing this via Trading Standards, so fingers crossed ;-)

Back to John Lewis / Argos / Curry’s / Amazon for all my future purchases, Only purchased my Dryer by AO.com as it was on offer ;-(
And the question if asked, would I purchase the Samsung Heat Pump dryer given hindsight ? from a different retailer, the answer would be No . I also own a Samsung Fridge Freezer and a Samsung Washing machine and both these appliances have been faultless and work very well.
