Is it worth trying a Windows MAC address emulator/changer, so you can configure your new PC to use your old MAC address ?
Good idea but spoofing the MAC address doesn’t seem to work. I’m guessing it only works at the software level.
I’m working around the limitation by either sending the WoL packet to the broadcast IP 192.168.1.255 when I’m at home or connecting to the AC88U via VPN and then using the “Asus Router” app to talk to an RT-AC68U on my network when I’m out. It’s less elegant but gets the job done. Mostly bummed because I know it’s possible but don’t know how ![]()
