Glad you are all sorted and yes, 160Mhz is not the go to channel width due to interference etc. 80Mhz is the preferred.
BTW: I was just looking at the below specs from Apple to check which models support 2400 Maximum PHY data rate , as you say only very new Macbook pro’s actually support wifi 6 @160Mhz for 2400 Maximum PHY data rate.
AX@5GHz is supported upto 1200 Mbps @80Mhz.
