Totally agree with @kev2021 – if number needs to be kept, a VOIP service will be the best option.
I have set up Virgin media for one of my offspring for their student accommodation, so far it has worked well, but install and wiring was not to my liking.
Tough choices it is, but they ‘Virgin Media’ are great value and British
