I know that BT do have access to chat logs when talking to you. I remember last week when I was mentioning YouFibre on BT live chat, the day after another support staff mentioned YouFibre without me bringing it up and how “it wouldn’t be installed for afew months atleast”.
For this to be successful you have to lay the ground work. Ideally you’ve not talked much in the chat logs and not asked to leave previously to diverge suspicion. You simply say you’re moving and would like to take BT with you. Then inform them of a postcode in the area (do one with active house sales) or even a new development area. That way they are less likely to be suspicious that someone who wanted ot leave contract some weeks ago is suddenly moving house to an area they can’t provide for.
