I’m currently with the AA.  My Membership is the AA Gold membership (which you get after being a member for 5 or 10 years).  I never got it initially and when i called them up to see what could be done with the price (over ÂŁ90) they said oh you should have this and that etc etc as I been a member for a while.  According to my renewal, I’ve been a member for 25 years…. I have the Gold cover which I believe includes road side, home start and I think 3 days European cover (which I’ll never use tbh). I also get some key replacement if I keep the fob on my key ring which was free so they sent them through a few years back now.

Just for the sake of it, I’ve been on confused and did a breakdown cover for my car for roadside, home start, mis fuel, wrong fuel etc (basically all options ticked) and the most expensive is about ÂŁ35 for the year! cheapest is around ÂŁ20 an its unlimited calls but not AA or RAC, they are companies like AXA, covermybreakdown, recover cover.  Even with no excess, its less than ÂŁ40 for the year!

I clearly must be missing something as to why these are far far cheaper than AA.
