I’m currently with the AA.  My Membership is the AA Gold membership (which you get after being a member for 5 or 10 years).  I never got it initially and when i called them up to see what could be done with the price (over £90) they said oh you should have this and that etc etc as I been a member for a while.  According to my renewal, I’ve been a member for 25 years…. I have the Gold cover which I believe includes road side, home start and I think 3 days European cover (which I’ll never use tbh). I also get some key replacement if I keep the fob on my key ring which was free so they sent them through a few years back now.

Just for the sake of it, I’ve been on confused and did a breakdown cover for my car for roadside, home start, mis fuel, wrong fuel etc (basically all options ticked) and the most expensive is about £35 for the year! cheapest is around £20 an its unlimited calls but not AA or RAC, they are companies like AXA, covermybreakdown, recover cover.  Even with no excess, its less than £40 for the year!

I clearly must be missing something as to why these are far far cheaper than AA.
