The Fritz!box 3490 does not have a dedicated WAN port as it is a modem/router combo, but some Fritz!box models do support a WAN type connection via LAN1 port.
But the FTT service will provide either an ONT or an modem/router that converts the light in the fibre optic to a digital signal etc.
@Grisu is very knowledgeable, so hopefully he will see this post .
I will have a look at mine later and see if this is possible and check VPN option also
