TV seemed o when I got it – all packaged ok, all stickers etc on the box so seemed unopened etc. Unsure why batteries didn’t work considering didn’t expire till 2026, they too were unopened so not like they used and just put back in loose.
Still getting used to it, as I guess most TVs now, when you turn them on (from being turned off at wall socket) it takes a minute or 2 to “boot up” so to speak to load and then it comes up with the channel.
Previous TV used to power on and then show the TV channel with in a few seconds but I believe most TVS now have a OS they effectively boot up into now to allow the apps etc.
Have to say, I’m still not sure why TV makers in general are favouring leaving the TV is standby as opposed to actual off button, given the increased cost of living etc. I realise standby is low power usage but still all adds up. Fortunately parents have a socket just in front of the TV stand by the wall so we plugged a extension lead into that socket and plugged the TV into that so now its easy to turn on and off.
There is another plug which has another extension in to run the other items as and when needed i.e. apple tv etc so again we can turn on as needed.
