Our LG TV has a mini joystick type of arrangement on the rear of the TV at the bottom,this I think only puts TV into standby ?
Anything simular on your panasonic TV ?
Whether true or not, I think one of the reasons why TV’s do not have Off button is that when they are restarted, it takes a while for TV to work and keep turning off TV in which some are Smart TV’s can cause firmware corruption and component damage due to associated thermal changes etc.
And I assume, cheaper to manufacture without power button
