HI all,
So update….. TV is ok on the whole, parents getting used to it etc.
However, it has developed show 3 smallish dashes near the top right hand side like —- —– ——- in a yellowy colour…
This only happens when watching TV channels via the aerial. IF I open BBC iPlayer on the TV, it goes away, if I open prime on the TV it goes away so I’m thinking it can’t be the screen as otherwise it would be there all the time so my only conclusion is it’s the TV aerial cable?
The TV aerial cable at present goes from aerial socket on the wall into a Humax Freeview recorder box and then has a aerial cable out of that into the TV.
Tonight I’ve bypassed the Humax box and am going directly from the wall socket to the TV and same result so I’m now looking for a new TV aerial cable to try… My dad was looking it up earlier and someone said needed a 75ohm tv aerial cable? I had a quick look and did you know there is such a think as a 4k Tv aerial cable?? wasn’t expecting that tbh. Although none seem to say 75ohm…. I found a HDTV cable which mentions it but that’s only HD not 4k so need to investigate a bit more.
The TV aerial cable is the same one used on old TV, in exact same setup, tbh it may of been there from initial setup but I didn’t notice it as depends on what’s on how clear it is and tbh I personally only ever watch a film via prime or tv series so i’ve not really watched much actual tv on it.
