So ASUS have come back to me and confirmed the site is being updated and downloads for the DSL-AX82U should be back online in the next day or two.
I was also told that the location of the DSL models was moving but the massage did not make sense so will have to see what if anything changes with regards to firmware download locations for the DSL-AX82U ?
