What?!??! I was counting the days. So, this means it’s going to be around nine months between releases for a flagship router than still doesn’t work properly? Mine works sort of OK as long as everything is off and I don’t connect too many devices (so how is it different to lesser routers costing half the price?).
I’m really disillusioned with ASUS by now. If/when I have to get another it seems like it will be a FritzBox. I’d get a standalone ASUS and separate modem, but at this stage – after issues with the dsl55u, the dsl56u (you’d think I’d learn!) and now this I think my days with this company are over.
It seems the problem with this router is that they’ve decided to move on from it. Perhaps their problem will be that many will move on from them. Companies as big as ASUS, however, seem able to absorb negative publicity such is their share of the market.
