Welcome, The DSL-N16 is an old model router, but they are robust.
What ISP was you using previously and did the previous modem also act as a router.
I ask as the DSL-N16 from what I remember cannot be used as a modem only, there is no option for Bridge mode but can be used as modem and router if that makes sense ?
