QoS will help when your router get busy with lots of traffic from different devices maxing out your bandwidth (Streaming) etc.
AiProtection whist gaming for that device should be disabled and just ensure PC has a local AV installed.
Are you gaming via wifi or Ethernet (ethernet is best for many reasons) ?
It maybe worth a try, if you have an old BT Huawei hg612 3b modem – this is Broadcom and use that if you fancy, they are on Ebay for around £15, does not support G.inp but as your Cab is ECI (I think) , no real benefit for you
