Unfortunately UK is not on the top with broadband technologies (at least FTTC) , and all issues came up with poor solutions, mixed equipment etc., for example aluminium cables from 70s never been replaced untill cause serious connection issues. That’s why we have to use faceplates which have build in filters to clear up signal from noise caused by crosstalk (vectoring only on few Huawei cabinets, on eci not available as current cards don’t support) and poor wiring, and they do really good job on that. Most cabinets in UK are eci where only in UK they didn’t support g.inp (is on another testing phase now) but same cabinets (I think in Izrael) support g.inp already from few years. Everywhere in Europe broadband working much better, in UK is big woohoo about gigabit fibre where in rest of Europe that’s nothing new. But untill we all go for full fibre when available we have to suffer and do our best to get what we can from our broadband.
