Also look under Advanced Settings > Wireless > General is an option for ‘Wireless Mode’ Select N for 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz and create new SSID just for that legacy laptop.
I think as @Mrk26 said, Guest option with Wireless Mode set to N should work if that option is available via guest wifi, but I think guest wifi does not allow access to local printers etc, only internet access.
