Ok, so had an email from ASUS this morning and it does look as though the DSL-AC68U does support both AiMesh Primary and Node but for AiMesh Node the DSL-AC68U does not support AiMesh via Ethernet backhaul. DSL-AC68U acting as an AiMesh Node only supports wireless backhaul due to the lack of WAN port Sorry for the bad news
