Any iPhone from the 6S and upwards is eligible to be updated to IOS 15, including both models of the iPhone SE

So I took the plunge last night and updated my iPhone 11 Pro to iOS 15.1 from 14.8 – took about an hour to download and install and so far no real issues noticed.

All my important apps (Mail – Ebay – Weather – Sky Go) etc. working well

Some reports suggest that the new iOS 15.1 owners have experienced some of the following problems.

•  iPhone Overheating,
• AirPods/Move To iOS Not Working,
• iPhone No Service,

 

iOS 15.1 Issues and Bugs Fixed:

• iOS 15.1 fixed Photos app that may incorrectly report storage is full when importing photos and videos
• iOS 15.1 fixed Audio playing from an app may pause when locking the screen.
• iOS 15.1 fixed Wallet that may unexpectedly quit when using VoiceOver with multiple passes.
• iOS 15.1 fixed Available Wi-Fi networks may not be detected.
• Battery algorithms updated on iPhone 12 models to better estimate battery capacity over time.

iOS 15.6 is out. I will download it now.

Here’s Apple’s notes for what’s in iOS 15.6.

iOS 15.6 includes enhancements, bug fixes and security updates.

· TV app adds the option to restart a live sport game already in progress, and pause, rewind or fast-forward

· Fixes an issue where Settings may continue to display that device storage is full, even if there is space available

· Fixes an issue that may cause braille devices to slow down or stop responding when navigating text in Mail

· Fixes an issue in Safari where a tab may revert back to a previous page

Interestingly, I was on iOS 15.1 (maybe 15.2) I forget, and was only offered to upgrade to iOS 15.5, once that installation was completed I was then notified that a new update was available for iOS 15.6

I did notice it looks like we can now download iOS 15.6 via mobile data if necessary, it asked prior to downloading and installing if it could use cellular data if the WiFi network disconnected.

Nice improvement to make life easier

So two days on from installing iOS 15.6 on my iPhone 1 pro, seems rock solid and no complaints, did notice a slight change to my Mail app, as now it shows Cc/Bcc by default and never used to.
