I’m having an issue when a Lightroom Classic plugin tries to connect to a URL in order to upload images. Lightroom reports a “networkConnectionLost” error and refuses to upload the images.
When I connect the computer directly to the cable modem the problem doesn’t happen, so it seems clear that the router is the issue.
The computer is near the main node, not the mesh node.
Here are the details of my environment:
- Mac mini running MacOS Tahoe 26.1 (25B78)
- Lightroom Classic 15.0.1
- Asus ZenWiFi AX (XT8 V1) running 3.0.0.4.388_24710
- Adaptive QoS is off.
I put an excerpt from the MacOS log files here, in case it helps point to the root cause: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/kvqa…-Log.rtf?rlkey=rps8velglrl9c819l0dqth2tn&dl=0
Have you experienced anything similar, or do you have suggestions for troubleshooting / resolving this issue?
Thanks,
Jim

November 28, 2025 at 6:45 am #40348Interesting problem, I would try Disable NAT Acceleration if your XT8 supports that and also try disabling (if enabled) AiProtection/Traffic Analyzer just for testing purposes.
The log seems to suggest connection stuck at ‘State Preparing’, did this happen previously and /or have you updated to the latest firmware recently ?

November 28, 2025 at 7:54 pm #40349Thanks, UK Sentinel! Good advice, but unfortunately I see no way to disable NAT Acceleration. Also I confirmed that AI Protection and Adaptive QoS are disabled.
So I updated to the latest firmware FW_ZENWIFI_XT8_300438824768.The problem remains. Did anyone review the logs from my first post? Can anyone suggest other things to try?
Thanks!

November 28, 2025 at 8:20 pm #40350Did you also try ‘Disable Traffic Analyzer’ as this is known to drop large, steady uploads.
Is IPv6 disabled on the XT8 and lastly, turning ON Adaptive QoS as this automatically DISABLES NAT Acceleration.
Reboot and try again (for testing purposes).
FWIW: Your logs as I hinted earlier, the connection is being attempted but there’s no log of a successful upload or TLS handshake. completion.
This is symptomatic of the router dropping long-lived TCP/TLS sessions which means the router interrupts the connection before upload completes and its a case of trying to see what aspect of your XT8 is causing this ?
I just noticed, that you might be using Wifi from the Primary XT8, is that correct and if so, try via LAN, just for testing ?

Thanks again for all your suggestions! Here’s what I found: Traffic Analyzer was (and is) disabled.
I’ll turn Adaptive QoS back on and will report what happens.
Thanks!

With Adaptive QoS on and the router rebooted, the problem still remains. Here’s a screen shot of the QoS configuration:

November 28, 2025 at 9:35 pm #40354What happens if you try via LAN, not Wifi ?

November 28, 2025 at 11:02 pm #40355Right, so cable directly to the Asus (as opposed to connecting the computer directly to the cable modem)? It’ll take some re-arranging because I don’t have an Ethernet cable that’s long enough, but I’ll give it a try and report back.
Thanks!
