Whilst the entire net is now hiding from Network on both machines,  my net shares can be accessed via the search box or cmd prompt,

 

I have been able to access the test stick in the router, but only as a media server and via VLC.  Far from satisfactory !

I’ll pass on Netgear as the last update to the Nighthawk wrecked ReadyShare  and the only exported settings file is years old.
