Hello Gentlemen, I have noticed after update from 3.0.0.4.384_81981 (DSL driver 1.0.4.9 ) to 3.0.0.4.386 (DSL 1.0.5.1.) the upload speed is cut in half. I have T-Mobile 100/10 VDSL2. I tried version 386_38287, 386_38832, 386_39648 always with reset and clean settings. There is faster downstream data rate achieve 100Mbps but upload speed is only 5Mbps although upstream data rate is 10Mbps. I did measuring via ASUSWRT, speedtest.net and fast.com. I also tried to turning off QOS, but nothing change. Upload is cut and constant at 5Mbps. Somebody with same issue? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks / Václav

November 14, 2020 at 10:51 am #10141Welcome, your DSL Sync rate for Upstream according to your stats is just over 10Mbps for both firmware’s and a speed test of 9 Mbps is good,
A speed test of 5Mbps is not so good as you have said.
Under Modulance DSL- you have both G.vectoring and G.inp enabled, is that normal for your connection?
Is speed test via wired or wireless client as maybe a wifi issue ?

November 14, 2020 at 1:42 pm #10143Hi,
Yes it is normal for my connection that both G.Vectoring, G.INP are enabled. When one or other settings is disabled the data rate and download is lower (app. 50Mb/s).
The speed test is via wired computer.
I did roll back to old version firmware 3.0.0.4.384_81981 because of half upstream.
Thanks

November 14, 2020 at 1:44 pm #10144Was AiProtection On ?
Did you try Version 3.0.0.4.386_39648 which is the latest firmware ? if you have tried the latest firmware then send a feedback form to ASUS so they can look to see if there are faults with new firmware

November 15, 2020 at 8:11 am #10149Changing AiProtection has no effect. Yes a tried Version 3.0.0.4.386_39648 and hard reset and manual settings.
I did some testing yesterday with 386_39648. If I switch off G.vector then upload is 9.62Mb/s but download is only 55Mb/s. I have to also switch off SRA to achieve at least 75.7Mb/s but then path mode is interleaved instead of fast.

November 15, 2020 at 8:29 am #10154Interesting, so if you just use 3.0.0.4.384_81981 then you achieve good download and upload sync rate (speeds) ?
I will drop ASUS an email and ask them if there are any known issues with the latest firmware
For you – 3.0.0.4.384_81981 (DSL driver 1.0.4.9 ) sound the best option for now

November 15, 2020 at 2:38 pm #10155Also if you are a little technical, have a look at a developer called @Gnuton whom combines ASUSWRT-Merlin firmware with Source code from the DSL-AC68U to give extra functionality for the DSL-AC68U etc.

November 16, 2020 at 3:15 pm #10159Hi,
thanks for the support. Yes, I achieve good download and upload with 3.0.0.4.384_8198.
I used ASUSWRT-Merlin DSL firmware by Gnuton before. No more update today. The last one is from June.
Have a nice day and stay safe
