Hi all,
Does anyone have a Gigaset Go 100 box for use with VOIP phone?
I see in the web config is a radio button for remote manage on or off but that’s it.
Any ideas how to remotely access the box? I don’t see a place to enter in a DDNS address to use to go directly to the boxes web page.
Thanks
Kev

November 13, 2021 at 3:13 pm #16199Nice, so you have the Gigaset GO-Box 100 Base Station and want to access the admin side ?
Just interested as to why you would want to access the Gigaset GO-Box 100 Base Station remotely ?

November 13, 2021 at 4:05 pm #16200Yes, my parents have the Gigaset box and I set it all up. Was working fine for around a month or so, then suddenly handsets had a error msg on them. The handsets were registered to the Box but the Box suddenly decided it didn’t want to connect to the provider.
I ended up looking online and then altering the settings but want to be able to do it remotely should it happen again.
Thanks

November 13, 2021 at 5:13 pm #16201I see, I have Gigaset phone but do not have remote access option.
As far as I can tell, the Gigaset Go 100 box does not support remote access / admin via an app/UI, so you will have to use your parents router and the Gigaset Go 100 box has to be connected to the Router (LAN).
If this router is an ASUS device, then you can set up > WAN – Virtual Server / Port Forwarding to do this along with DDNS if they do not have a static IP (which is highly unlikely)

November 13, 2021 at 7:03 pm #16207Thanks, there is a remote access option on the webui of the go 100 box under Settings -> Network -> IP Configuration -> Remote management but its just a Yes or No option.
I’ll check out those links. Yes its on Asus, its plugged into the router via a network cable so that’s all good.

November 13, 2021 at 7:28 pm #16209The manual (German) makes no mention of remote management, maybe worth trying to update firmware of unit , but I cannot see any options inbuilt,
Next time you are at your parents, disable Remote Management and see if you can still gain access to it from the LAN ?
Apart from that and the Virtual Server option I detailed above, I have no idea

November 13, 2021 at 8:28 pm #16212Thanks, it is off by default but couldn’t see point of setting to on if then no ddns etc :)
I’ll check out above. Any idea what ports are safe to use for the forwarding? is there a specific range or just any other than ftp, http, https ports?
Thanks

November 13, 2021 at 8:45 pm #16213Maybe this could help too, really dont know but might be interesting: https://service.gigaset.com/de/support/solutions/articles/75000035447-dns-srv-lookup
It says something like for base firmware >=248 DNS SRV Lookup set to yes clears port for proxy- and registration-server.
It is needed to use AAAA-record instead of A-record as providers are changing their service and stop support for A-records.Could not find any manual for it???
Do you have one online I could translate?Every port >1024 should be ok, but usually you would use something in the range >=49152 out of dynamical range.

November 13, 2021 at 9:03 pm #16218Looks as if they don’t have a manual for the device on it’s own, they combine it with the phone manual (if you buy one with that box) i.e here: https://gse.gigaset.com/fileadmin/legacy-assets/CustomerCare/Manuals/SL4xx/SL450_GO/A31008-M2721-L101-1-7619_en_IE-UK.pdf
I’ll check out that link thanks.
