This update notification appeared on my iPhone yesterday evening but haven’t updated as yet as I thought I would give it a few days to see what the general concensus is with iOS 26.

Apple has officially confirmed that iOS 26 will launch in the UK on 15 September 2025, with the update expected to roll out from around 6:00 pm BST.
The update brings a host of improvements, new features, and enhanced security, continuing Apple’s commitment to refining the iPhone experience. As always, iOS 26 will be available as a free download for compatible devices.
To get the update, users can go to Settings > General > Software Update on their iPhone once it becomes available. It is recommended to back up your device beforehand and ensure it is connected to Wi-Fi with sufficient battery life.
With iOS 26, Apple looks to set a new standard in performance, functionality, and user experience.

September 18, 2025 at 6:43 pm #39673So far I have seen that some feel that some AI tools feel overhyped or underdeveloped, and Siri still lacks the major overhaul users were hoping for.
Many users are reporting significant battery drain after updating to iOS 26 but Apple says it’s normal and temporary, caused by background setup tasks like indexing and app updates.
