Those who havenβt yet installed the latest cumulative update forΒ Windows 11Β in May β by which I mean the upgrade released the week before last, not theΒ most recent optional updateΒ β should be aware of a nasty bug that some users are encountering.
MicrosoftΒ has said that itβs investigating whether the May update can cause a showstopping error, which means your PC wonβt boot. However, this warning is delivered with a welcome caveat that it isnβt likely to affectΒ Windows 11 HomeΒ users. Still, that possibility isnβt ruled out, and given the gravity of the bug, itβs worth bearing in mind if youβre about to pull the trigger on this cumulative update.

Glad I checked as I had planned to update my Windows 11 (Home) laptop to the new May 23H2 cumulative update for Windows 11 this weekend.
Even though they (Microsoft) believe Windows 11 (Home) is not impacted, I’m gonna leave it for a month, or two.
