Another 4 days have passed and still no change

SNR remains stubbornly at 4dB (downstream) and now changing modem to DrayTek 130 to see if stats improve

That’s a bit shame, did you have higher amount of errors on 4db profile? I read on different forum that guys capped line to get 3db snr and re-tx low which give you slighty higher throughput compared to re-tx high. Draytek may sync faster but I’m not sure if you will achieve more with it on your Huawei cabinet.

Yes a shame as I thought also I would get to 3 db SNR and achieve nearly 80Mbps, will be interesting what the DrayTeK 130 achieves without tinkering

Only about 200 FEC over the 14 day period and that was mainly via landline telephone calls etc. my line is usually good.

As a follow up, my I left my Fritz!Box plugged in and another week or so later I have finally reached 3dB downstream which means I am now achieving my 80Mbps synch rate / speed

G.inp is On for downstream but Off for Upstream, but I do have FastPath On in both directions so gaming will be good and a happier family

In the end, I did not plug vigor in, I left the Fritz!Box plugged in as I was sure it would attain 3dB eventually, and it did ;-)

Just took a lot longer than I thought it would (25 days) ish

That’s still not bad, 25 days from connection to full speed, some people achieve this result in twice longer period. 😉
