That does not sound promising from your perspective, maybe worth a telephone call with BT to see why the G.fast is no longer available ?

Would be interesting to understand why they are no longer offering G.fast ?

Maybe your speed is too low for useing G.fast and vplus might be even as fast and more reliable and cheaper too to realize too.
In the range of 200m they do perform similarly in real life (with much noise and old copper), G.fast may get its power only upto 150m.

Yeah I asked when I was on the phone to them and told they had no idea why it’s not offered any more, they said It’s Openreach’s call and they dont usually update them. Interestingly Openreach’s own site still shows 330Mb G.fast available when you put the house details in, of course not as accurate but it’s a strange one. Either way I’m not getting locked into another contract when I’m due to renew soon, I’ll probably try get a rolling monthly contract on the go for now until something changes.

(The draytek has been rock steady holding since I put it in now, still showing the 127db line attenuation but getting 200mb download speeds and no recorded line resyncs – however CRCs are showing its ugly head).
