Purchased the new Shark IP3251UKT PowerDetect Clean & AutoEmpty Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner as our Dyson has seen better days and my wife was keen on the idea of a self cleaning cordless style vacuum cleaner thats also designed to work in both forward and reverse directions for faster, more efficient cleaning.

Managed to find a good deal at John Lewis, the Shark IP3251UKT PowerDetect from John Lewis comes with a two year battery and 5 year main vacuum cleaner warranty.

A few pictures showing what the Shark IP3251UKT PowerDetect looks like in the box and once unpacked and laid out.

I also currently have a Dyson Animal purchased a good few years ago and looking to buy a replacement soon.  Was looking at this Shark one too.  I know TopCashback are giving up to 20% cashback via Shark directly.

Have you used the Shark vacuum yet?

The Shark IP3251UKT is on charge and takes around 6 hours according the manual for a first charge so plan to give it its first run in the morning.

Our cordless Dyson was the V8 absolute and served us well over the years, but decided it was time for an upgrade

Well I must say, only used the Shark IP3251UKT a couple of times and most impressive it is, I particularly like when Power Mode is set to DETECT as it distinguishes between hard floor and carpet and adjust suction to suit.

Also has a handy built in option that if you are vacuuming along the skirting board, the suction power increases automatically and the Auto empty cycle makes life easy.

We did choose this particular Shark model as it was designed with pet owners in mind and as a result, this Shark model is slightly more chunky (robust) than other models in the market place, but not a concern for us as pet owners as this should help reduce blockages etc.
