The DSL-N16 has not yet reached it EoL (end of life) status, so new firmware should still be produced, just not very often a DSL-N16 is an older model https://www.asus.com/event/network/EOL-product/

Yes it is a very old model. When I switch to fiber (FTTH) connection, I will buy a new Asus router.
