I have such a niche use case. My local broadband sucks so I have to use my iPhone as a hotspot, but I recently got a Meta Quest Pro and wanted to use Steam Link VR for it, which requires the headset and PC to be on a fast, 5ghz WIFI network. I wanted to find a way to buy a router and use an iPhone as my WAN connection for it, and I saw the ASUS page on WAN backup, which DIDN’T include a list of supported routers. I managed to find a few models which clearly stated they supported it, but they were super high end expensive ROG models.
Found this exact router for sale locally for very cheap, and then just so happened to find this forum post explaining that it’s possible to do exactly what I’m aiming to do. Thank you.
