TR-069 is part of the game, you only need to delete TR-069 user before you connect it to DSL and deactivate TR-069 in security settings. And nothing can be done remote from provider.

I’m also with Zen (UK) and you can’t change/disable TR-069 settings on the Fritz!box 7530 they provide: that’s why I had to follow the instructions as per my previous post (perhaps other ISPs in other countries give the user the flexibility to disable that option…).
