Looks like I managed to get telnet access after all
So UK Sentinel, donโt bother bugging Asus on my behalf
Now, I need to set telnet to be enabled by default, temporarily, until I can get entware+dropbear installed. On the DSL-N55U these variables (script_usbumount, and telnet iirc) were set in nvram, but it looks like they are in some config file on this model. Any pointers?
Congrats, I have sent email request for Debug firmware, but will cancel it, how did you get Telnet working on your DSl-AC88U โ B ??
PMโed you. I managed to get all my Entware stuff mostly working. But I did find a method to automount it on usbmount or start. .asusrouter does not seem to get executed if it is modified :/. But so far so good; this has saved my purchase
Thanks ๐
May I ask how U got entware working as I am also trying to achieve same goal but haven’t been able to figure it out with the DSL AC88U on stock firmware. I have telnet access but haven’t been able to use opt directory or jffs but found data folder which seems to be similar to jffs. I tried theย script_usbmount n script_usbhotplug and script_usbumount options with nvram but had no luck.
Any help on how you got entware working would be greatly appreciated :)
Regards,
Ricky.
